Whether through cancer, Crohn’s, colitis or IBS, any chronic bowel issue can bring along feelings of shame, fear, anger and isolation. My passion is to empower and provide heart-centered support to people of all ages, whose lives have been affected by these conditions.

Life is a pure flame, and we live by an invisible sun within us.

About Inside Wellness

My Story

I have always had a passion for helping others. I believe that this compassion, in part, comes from my own experience living with crohn’s disease for more than twenty years. You can read more about my personal journey in my blog!

I completed my degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2002 and began a successful career in pharmaceutical and medical equipment sales. I have held many different volunteer positions over the years, including supporting residents with varying physical and developmental abilities, as well as an outreach worker handing out harm reduction supplies on the Downtown Eastside. Through all these experiences, my perspective on what wellness means has evolved over the years. This has also led me to explore a wide range of health and wellness practices along my own healing journey. I believe in a holistic approach, incorporating both western medicine along with energy/body work, naturopathic medicine and diet.

Despite my best effort to manage living with this condition, I had a MAJOR flare up of crohn’s disease symptoms in the summer of 2011. My weight dropped to 85lbs even though I was eating, as well as being fed by a tube in my arm. I was always in pain, and I felt like I lived in the washroom. I began to wonder if this was how my life was going to end? I was really scared, I felt helpless and alone. It was during this time that I began to see my own life coach. I found joy and peace amidst the challenges. I stood on the edge of the great void, and instead of falling, I chose to fly. I never gave up, instead I was able to move beyond my perceived limits and grow in ways I didn’t even know were possible!  It inspired me to become a coactive coach myself, and I graduated from the Coaches Training Institute in December 2012. Now that I am feeling healthy, I want to give back, inspire and empower other’s who are struggling. It is from this heartfelt place that Inside Wellness was born. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen and heard, their pain acknowledged, so they can reclaim their joy!

Education & Experience
I am a co-active coach, graduate from The Coaches Training Institute and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I also have a BSc in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Previously I worked in pharmaceutical and medical equipment sales for 10 years. As someone who has lived with Crohn’s disease for over 20 years, I have spent a good portion of my life exploring and practicing holistic approaches to healing through diet, supplements and energy work.

My journey over these last few years has encouraged me to re-prioritize my life and focus on what I truly value. Inside Wellness is just another extension of this. It is my privilege to be able to share my life experience, education and training with you, so you and your loved ones can be supported along the path towards greater health and wellness.
